Welcome to my blog about Batman, from his first appearance in comics, first movies, first TV shows, first video games, Lego, and toys. Batman has been around for ages since 1939 when Bob Kane first designed him, over the years he has be redesigned from his outfit to his Batmobiles.

Here is Batman 101

Batman
Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his parents Thomas and Martha Wayne as a child, after swearing to avenge them. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts and detective skills. Utilizing a high-tech arsenal in his crusade to rid Gotham City of crime, he became Batman: The Dark Knight.




  Robin
The patron saint of superhero sidekicks, Their have been several young people have taken on the role of Robin, Batman's partner in the battle to subdue crime: Dick Grayson was the first Robin, followed by Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Stephanie Brown. The current Robin is Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne's son.






Alfred
Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's loyal father figure and butler. Alfred raised Bruce (and later Dick Grayson) after the death of the Wayne's. A former British secret agent, Alfred is a skilled surgeon who often fixes members of the Bat-Family.







Commissioner Gordon
 James Gordon was one of Batman's first supporters, helping him fight against crime and corruption. Rising to the rank of Commissioner in the Gotham City Police Department, he remains one of Batman's greatest allies.






Catwoman
Catwoman, the costumed alias persona of Selina Kyle, is a mostly reformed cat burglar with an on-again, off-again, romantic relationship with Batman. She is shown as a woman who is very strong-willed, independent and morally conflicted with her past. 

The Joker
The Joker, Clown Prince of Crime, is Batman's arch-nemesis. An agent of chaos known for his purple three-piece suit and insidious smile, he has caused Batman more suffering than any other villain he has ever faced. His origin and true motivations are shrouded in mystery.





The Penguin
Intelligent, rich and sophisticated; Oswald Cobblepot puts up a gentlemanly front, but behind closed doors he is the angered, power hungry criminal known as The Penguin. He shows flashes of compassion sometimes, but he is dominated by a desire to be respected and to control those around him.






The Riddler
The Riddler, the crown prince of conundrums, is a DC Comics villain obsessed with riddles, puzzles, and brain teasers. After spending some time 'reformed,' and working as a private investigator in Gotham, he has returned to his old villainous ways.






Mr Freeze
After his wife became terminally ill, Dr. Victor Fries devoted his life to saving her, and used cryogenics to buy some time to find a cure. After an accident, Fries must stay in a cryo-suit to live, becoming Mr. Freeze. He was know as Mr Zero till the they renamed him in 1966 for the TV show.

The way I found the information for this page, first was the cards of each character I found on Flickr with a basic search Batman then an advance search With Batman and only search within Creative Commons-licensed content with both Find content to use commercially and Find content to modify, adapt, or build upon ticked. On the 3 page I found one of the 1966 Batman Cards and that lead me to the others that I used. I sorted through them and picked out the ones that I needed and got started finding information on each one, I tried to look on the DC comics but couldn’t find much information so I did a Google search on Batman characters and first on the list I found a site with 50 characters with information about each one. I looked at each character and took the first bit of information I needed that best described each character of the cards I found and copied the names to add to the page.
